Ingredients
-1 1/2 pounds ground
turkey
-Kosher salt and pepper
-1 1/2 Tbs. EVOO
-8 slices American cheese
-4 Potato hamburger buns, split
and toasted
-4 slices of beefsteak tomatoes
-4 leaves romaine
-4 slices red onion
-4 handfuls of potato chips
Directions
1) Divide the meat into 4 equal portions (6oz ea.) Form each portion loosely into 3/4-inch-thick burger and make a deep depression in the center with your thumb. Season both sides of the burger with salt and pepper.
2) Cook the burgers in oil and top each with two slices of cheese and a basting cover during the last minute of cooking.
3) Place burgers on the bun and if desired top with lettuce, tomato, onion, and your favorite condiments. Then pile on the potato chips and top with the top bun.
* These burgers taste really great. Your family will love that you added such a fun ingredient to the meal. There is nothing wrong with adding chips or a treat to your meals every once in a while but feel free to substitute pickles for the chips to add the same great crunch.
